This draft was previously declined on the basis that the Nipisat Island article already contains information about the heritage site, so a split request should be initiated. I don't think this is valid for a few reasons. For one, I am quite confident that we've always considered world heritage sites to be independently notable; furthermore, as pointed out by the draft creator, the heritage site encompasses locations other than Nipisat Island; and this article is longer than the Nipisat article so merging it there would create issues with undue weight. Spicy, a split request could have still been initiated and agreed that it can be its own article. It's not hard to do. Just that the island article had the infobox for UNESCO site already so it wouldn't make sense to have it listed in more than one article like that. I removed it from Nipisat Island so no need to do any further stuff regarding a split request. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:25, 26 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
