It's a good question, Brandon Targaryen. I also understood The Sympathizer to be planned for the actual HBO network airing, but the rollout of the trailer seemed to indicate Max. Honestly, the news was so engulfed by the new Max rollout, I think there were some associations that may not be there. It could even be saying Max is the streaming platform that will follow HBO airings... very unclear. All in all, it's definitely being produced by HBO.
