Yasmina Sandoz born on October 31, 1975, is a political entrepreneur and advocate for women's and minority rights.

Early life and education

Yasmina Sandoz was born to a Mauritian father and a Franco-Polish mother and is also a Swiss citizen.[1] She studied international business at the University of Lille, including a period in Pforzheim, and obtained a master's degree in 1999.[2] She subsequently pursued studies in political ecology at the University of Lausanne and social media at the École hôtelière de Lausanne.[1]

Career

After working in the automotive sector, notably as an assistant to Dr. Piëch at Volkswagen. Her thesis focused on the influence of brands on the Group and vice versa. She then worked on the Group's platform strategy and the communication of the different brand universes before becaming a civil servant on the Vosges departmental council, where she worked in economic development and tourism under the Christian Poncelet era and she defends the timber industry in the senate with the support of Jackie Pierre.[3][4] She later moved to Switzerland to engage in local politics and was elected as a Green Councillor for her commune of Ecublens.[5]

Yasmina Sandoz has also joined her family's timber construction business[6]. She has invested in cybersecurity.[7][8][9] It defends the security of private data through biometrics, in particular through new vein matching technologies.[10]

It is renowned in the trade press for organizing numerous educational exhibitions and trade fairs on the Franco-Swiss scene in connection with its actions to protect forests and promote sustainable timber construction.[11][12][13][14][6][15][16][17]

Commitment

Committed to environmental defense,[18] she supports minorities and advocates for the rights of racialized women.[19][20][21]

Yasmina Sandoz is convinced of the need to develop CSR responsibility, and is driving forward a low-carbon dynamic in various sectors, including timber construction,[22] cybersecurity[23] and the rail industry.[14]
