Thomas Grossi (born September 16, 1991) is an American YouTuber specializing in sports commentary specifically the National Football League. A Green Bay Packers fan, Grossi is known for his skits, videos, and streams about the NFL. He is also the host of his self-created podcast known as Packast. [2]

In 2023, Grossi received media attention for a fundraising tour across the United States called '30 in 30'.

Biography

edit

Grossi grew up in Yorktown, New York, a town in Westchester County.[3][4]

Graduating from Yorktown High School in 2008,[5] Grossi attended State University of New York at New Paltz where he first began to experiment with improv comedy. After earning his Master's Degree in Education, Grossi got a job teaching high school social studies at The Ursuline School in New Rochelle.[3]

However, when Grossi watched a Cowboys Packers game, and saw the Packers victorious, he decided to become a Packers fan for life. Before 2020, Grossi worked as a school substitute teacher, and because of his experiences in the classroom, chooses not to swear during any of his steams, skits, or videos.[a]

Grossi also reportedly maintains a vegan diet, due in part to a serious dairy allergy.

Packcast and Youtube

edit

Grossi is a fan of the Green Bay Packers. Grossi explains that, upon hearing at elementary school of the team's win in Super Bowl XXXI, he told his father (a Dallas Cowboys fan) that he was now a Packers fan.

Following the Packers loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the 2014 NFC Championship Game, Grossi was inspired to record his thoughts on the game.[5] This would mark the beginning of his time on Youtube.

In 2015, Grossi began his podcast the Packcast.[5] Grossi's work on Packcast and his videos would provide him with two segment appearances on NBC's Sunday Night Football.[4]

In 2021, Grossi quit his teaching job to focus on his Youtube career full-time.

30 in 30

edit

In May 2023, Grossi announced plans to visit all 30 NFL stadiums in June, with the aim of raising $100,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The tour began at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on June 1, and ended at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on June. The tour, referring to his attempt to get to all 30 NFL stadiums in 30 days, was organized to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The tour involved visiting each stadium, hosting fan events, and recording videos. By the end of his tour, contributors, including 18 NFL teams, had donated over $500,000 [6].
