The Best of Owl City is a compilation album by American electronica project Owl City. It was released exclusively in Japan on July 9, 2014, via Universal Music Japan. The album peaked at number 118 on the Oricon Albums Chart.

Background and release

On June 25, 2014, Adam Young announced that he would be releasing the compilation album, The Best of Owl City exclusively in Japan on July 9.[1] The album compiles singles and other songs from the albums Ocean Eyes, All Things Bright and Beautiful, The Midsummer Station and Ultraviolet. It was complied by Young as he stated, "This album is a mix of old and new songs from Owl City, and a collection of songs that are unique to me."[1]
