He is well known for creating dark and mysterious feature-length thriller films and web series,

Tiwari's work often explores themes of ghost stories, crime mystery, and gangster thrillers for example 706 (film), Aazam and The Tattoo Murders.[1]

Career

Shravan Tiwari completed a Bachelor of Science from Kotak Science Institute in Rajkot and later pursued a postgraduate program in management. Prior to entering the film industry, Tiwari gained experience in the newspaper industry, working with organizations like The Indian Express and Zee Media Corporation. As a self-taught filmmaker, Tiwari has never worked as an assistant to anyone before embarking on his filmmaking career.

Acting and filmaking

Shravan Tiwari's filmmaking journey started in 2013. One of his noteworthy works is the 2019 horror thriller feature film, 706, which was picked up by Netflix for worldwide distribution. Shot in Varanasi, 706 received praise from critics for its innovative fusion of ghost story elements with crime thriller themes. Tiwari is known for his distinctive narrative style, wherein he unravels mysteries by revisiting the same plot points with altered meanings, adding depth to the storytelling. He has written, edited and directed several notable films, showcasing his unique storytelling abilities and creative vision[2]. In 2021, he released the Hindi web series Kamathipura, or The Tattoo Murders on Amazon, Hotstar and MX player, Murshid will release on Zee5 in 2023 is a Hindi web series.[3] Aazam is a Hindi feature film released in 2023.[4][5]
