Samuel Oniyitan (born 27 December 1982) is an actor, producer, model, A Chartered Marketer and Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.[1][2][3]

He is the 2021 BON Award Winner (Best of Nollywood Awards) for the best actor in a lead role movie, Abeke. He is also a 2022, AMVCA award nominee for best indigenous language Yoruba.[4][5]

Early life and education

Samuel was born on the 27 December 1982 in Lagos, as the sixth child, out of nine and he is popularly called Big Sam among his friends and colleague. Samuel Oniyitan father hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State and his mother from Lagos Island, Lagos State. Samuel Oniyitan studied at Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) and earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. He also has a master's degree in marketing from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). He is a Chartered marketer and Associate member of Nigerian Institute of Management. [6]

He started acting when he got too primary six and he acted in school sage drama. When he got to Secondary school, he was a member of a drama group in Jss2 and in SS2, he later became the president of the drama group. When he left secondary school he went into acting fully and he was featured in Super Story but not given a major role, He saw that the acting could not pay his bills, so he had to leave, and he went back to school to study.

He got back into acting and was featured in more than 50 movies which includes: the Snatch,‘Impulse,‘Adura, Ase, Abeke, Mayowa's cross. Akoko, among others. His latest movie earned him an AMVCA nomination and award as the best of Nollywood Awards for the best actor in a lead role movie, Abeke.[1][7][8]
