ROBERT OLLE LAVELID, born 30 January 1950, in Stockholm , Sweden, is an architect SAR/MSA with more than 40 years of experience in large architectural and city planning projects in Sweden as well as internationally. He was a founding partner of the Swedish practice Modern Line Architects, and later partner of Tengbom and FOJAB architects. He has written extensively throughout his career and currently has a blog for the Swedish Association of Architects on their website [1] . Robert Lavelid was 1992-95 principal architect at Inter IKEA Systems A/S in Humlebaek Denmark, and was responsible for the architectural concept of the IKEA Stores worldwide.
In December 2020 his book on the relevance of Paris Haussmannien for the contemporary city planning in the world “KODEN för en bra stad” was released. [2]
Robert Lavelid graduated as architect at the Architecture school of the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology in 1977, KTH.
