Precious Baba (Birth Name: Precious Veronica Baba) born October 14th 1997 is a Ghanaian American Malaria and Public Health activist. [1]She has a degree in criminal justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a certificate in Law Enforcement from Quinsigamond Community College. [2] [3]She also studied for a masters degree in epidemiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center but did not graduate. [4] On the 27th and 28th of May 2024, she organized a cleanup exercise in collaboration with the Kampala Capital City Authority in the Busia and Kimwanyi zones of the Katanga community to tackle the malaria epidemic in the country. [5] [6] [7]. She donated mosquito nets, repellents, clothes and sanitary pads to the inhabitants of the slum. The event was covered by numerous media outlets, including Bukedde TV, New Vision, PML Daily, Observer newspaper, Top TV, Salt TV and CBS FM Buganda. On June 7th 2024, she organized yet another cleanup exercise in the zana and Kirimanyaga communities of Uganda with community leaders and the students of Zana parents school targeting malaria and cholera hotspots in the community [8] [9] [10] [11]New Vision Group, Nile Post, UG Standard, BBS Terefayina and Bukedde TV were among the media houses who covered this event.
