Port Harcourt Polo Club (PPC) is an event centre in South-South, Port Harcourt Nigeria, where the game Polo can be played.[1][2][3]

History edit

Founded in 1972[4] by the Nigerian Army, the club was privatized in 1974. The club is authorised as a polo-playing club by the Nigeria Polo Association (NPA)[5].The Club hosts horse riding[6], equestrian sporting events, and the game of polo. The club hosts an annual NPA polo tournament.

The Field edit

The polo-playing field is 300 yards long by 150 yards wide, coequal to nine football areas by approximation. Goals posts are set eight yards apart at each end of a mowed turf field.
