Orlando Pineda (pronounced: ôr-lănʹ-dō pee-nei-duh/ɔɹˈlæn.doʊ pɪˈnɛ.dɐ, born: 21 July 1995) is a Colombian actor. He is known for Griselda, Narcos: Mexico (2018) and The Infiltrators (2019).[1]
Early life and career
editPineda was born in Bogota, Colombia on 21 July 1995. In 2015, he started his career with appearances in various commercials for prominent brands.[2]
In 2016, he went to Los Angeles to study acting and later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting.[1] He worked in the award-winning film Your Iron Lady, directed by Jorge Xolapa. He appeared in the TV series Milagros de Navidad and gained prominence for his role in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico.
In 2019, he worked in the drama The Infiltrators, which won NEXT Innovator Award and Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival, as Emiliano.[3] Later that year, he was part of the cast of Your Iron Lady, an independent film that got more than 29 nominations and 16 wins in different film festivals.[4]
