Nicholas 'Nick' Peckham (born 1940 in Teaneck, New Jersey)
is a practicing American architect and author who practices architecture in Columbia, Missouri as the principal of the firm Peckham Architecture. In addition to his architectural practice and writing, Peckham has held a number of teaching positions in the United States. Between 1971 - 1975 he was a Teaching Assistant in Structural Engineering, in the School of Architecture, at the University of Pennsylvania. From 1975 - 1982 he was an Associate Professor of Design in the Art Department, at Stephens College. From 1985 - 1987 Peckham was an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Missouri.
While Peckham is considered to be an champion of Sustainable architecture, he has designed buildings to higher levels of sustainability through Green to Deep Green architecture.

Peckham studied at the United States Merchant Marine Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 1962.
He then moved to Berkeley, California where he studied Architecture for two years before leaving for the university of Pennsylvania.
Peckham studied at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a M.Arch. (Master of Architecture)in 1972.
During his time at Penn, he was able to study under both Buckminster Fuller and Louis Kahn who both greatly influenced his life's work
In his writing, Peckham has advocated a "unilateral green building" (and has coined the term "Deep Green Architecture").
