Namakajo Deric Fredric sometimes Namakajjo Derrick Fredrick is a Ugandan politician , Lawyer and activist [1]. He is the current Secretary for Legal Affairs[1] in the Justice Forum political Party, effective 2nd Feb,2022.
Before that, He served as the Chairman for Youth Affairs in the Justice Forum Political party. He was elected in that position in 2016 in a stiff competition against his former competitor Counsel Haruna Musanje Chwa.

Early life And Education
editBorn on the 22nd October 1995, Namakajo Deric Fredric is the first born of Mzee Muzza Patrick Ssalongo a businessman based in Kikyusa Town council in Luweero district in central Uganda ( Buganda Kingdom) and Nambooze Agnes a residence of kagoma - maganjo B LC1 Nansana Nabweru division wakiso district.
He attended schools lie Ndeeba Junior in Kampala suburb, wabusana Academy in kikyusa sub county, highway junior school in Maganjo and later African outreach academy where he completed his Primary leaving Examinations. He joined st kizito katikamu kisule SS for Ordinary Level and Kyaddondo SSS matugga for his Advance level. He joined Islamic University in Uganda Kampala campus for his LLB in year 2015-2019 and later joined LDC for his post graduate diploma in legal practice.
Work and Experience
editHe is a partner with GM Kibirige & Co Advocates, part times with Foundation for human rights Initiative ( FHRI) located in Uganda and African judges and jurists Forum ( AJJF) located in Johannesburg South Africa. As a lawyer, he has represented politicians in courts of law such as kizza besigye a prominent Ugandan opposition leader, Samuel Lubega Mukaaku among others.
He is a passionate Human rights lawyer specializing in creative arts industry where he is serving as the secretary general of Pan African Network of Artistic Freedom (PANAF)[2] Uganda chapter which advocates for artistic Rights and freedom. He has represented artists like Sserunya Ernest,and Ugandan film make up artist who was arrested during Nyege Nyege festival in 2002 for exhibiting, represented Daddy Andre in the case Nina Roz, Serena Bata in her case Vs Abitex among other artists.
