Moses Babatope (born August 25, 1983) is a Nigerian film executive and co-founder of Filmhouse Group,[1] known for his work in film distribution, exhibition, and production. Before returning to Nigeria in the early 2010s, Babatope was at various times Team Leader and Special Project Manager at Odeon for over a decade, gaining experience in cinema operations management.
One of Babatope's accomplishments has been linked to his role in creating international demand for African content, especially African films.[2]. While leading FilmOne, he established international distribution agreements, securing deals with Disney,[3] Warner Brothers,[4], Netflix, and Prime Video. In June 2022, Babatope was announced as an independent juror for the 50th International Emmy Awards.[5].
