Lydia Caradine is an American actress, screenwriter and author. Her debut novel, Smog, was published in February 2024.[1] [2]

Life and career

Caradine was born in Cleveland, Ohio.[3] As a child she trained in classical ballet, piano and percussion, performing in various school and church plays.

After an internship at the Cannes Film Festival, Caradine moved to Los Angeles where she studied with Monkey Butler Improv. She played the role of Moth in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Loft Ensemble, then enrolled at Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre.[4]

While pursuing acting and participating in various writing fellowships, Caradine wrote Smog. It was loosely inspired by aspects of her early life, and her experiences and observations upon moving to Los Angeles.[5]
