Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is an upcoming adventure game developed by Deck Nine and published by Square Enix. It is set to release on 29 October 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, Steam and Xbox Series X/S; a Nintendo Switch version is set to release at a later time. The plot focuses on Max Caulfield, the protagonist of the first game in the Life Is Strange series, who now, as an adult, has to solve a murder mystery split across two timelines.[1]
It is the fourth main installment in the Life Is Strange series, succeeding Life Is Strange: True Colors.
Plot
editYears after the events in Arcadia Bay, Max Caulfield, a photographer residing at Caledon University, stumbles upon a chilling scene: her new friend Safi lies dead in the snow, the victim of a murder. Max possesses an extraordinary power—the ability to rewind time—but she hasn't used it in years. Instead of rewinding, she inadvertently opens a parallel timeline. In this alternate reality, Safi is still alive but remains in grave danger. As Max grapples with two versions of reality, she realizes that the killer will strike again in both timelines. To prevent the same murder, Max must navigate between these parallel worlds, racing against time to solve the mystery and protect her friend.[1]
