Kendall Ananyi (born June, 1981) is a Nigerian/Canadian entrepreneur. He is the founder and the current chief executive officer of Tizeti...[1] Ananyi was named as one of the top CEO's in telecoms in Nigeria by Nairametrics in 2023.[2]

Education

Ananyi attended Federal Government College Warri, where he completed his senior secondary in 1996. He then completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from the University of Benin (Nigeria). He left for Canada and earned a Masters's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria[3]

Career

Ananyi started his career as an Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Nigeria and Canada and then worked writing software for Microsoft.[4] He them moved back to Nigeria to join ExxonMobil as a Project Engineer [5]. He then founded Tizeti, a top wireless internet service provider in Nigeria[6] in 2012. In 2017, Tizeti got accepted to YCombinator as part of the Winter 2017 batch[7]. He has raised over $5m for his startup across a seed round[8] and Series A [9]

After successful exits as an angel investor in Paystack[10] and Flutterwave, he joined Pioneer Fund as Senior Venture Partner for Africa[11]

He also has awarded scholarships to students since 2021.[12]

He is also an expert in Digital infrastructure in the African Continent and a regular on CNBC[13] and have shared his view points on digital infrastructure in Nigeria[14] as well as leads his team at Tizeti to utilize clean energy in powering Digital Infrasture with Solar powered wireless infrastructure[15]. .
