Juan Del Gallego y Del Campo was born in Spain on 09 May 1872 to Francisco del Gallego and Dolores Del Campo.
Don Juan founded Del Gallego Camarines Sur, a sitio back then named Danáwin and part of Ragay Camarines Sur. Due to sitio's strategic location, he built a lumber mill, a school, and a chapel for the natives. Potenciana Ubante, a native, capture his heart which eventually leads to marriage.
