The IEEE P81 standard is governed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. It governs the measurement of ground resistance, ground Impedance, and Earth Surface Potentials of a Grounding System. It works in conjunction with IEEE standard P80 to ensure power substations are properly grounded.[1][2]
