Guardians of the North is a Saskatchewan-based TV series produced by Wavelength Entertainment. The television series is produced in partnership with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), Muskoday First Nation Fire Department and Saskatchewan First Nations Emergency Management (FNEM), with support from Creative Saskatchewan.[1][2] The 6-part documentary series tells the story of those who respond to emergencies in one of the wildest, most remote regions of the world.[3][4][5]
Guardians of the North is a documentary series that follows wildland firefighters in Saskatchewan’s Indigenous and northern communities. The team sees themselves as Guardians, not just of human life, personal property, and natural resources, but also of traditional communities, hunting grounds, and a way of life.

Filmed during the 2022 fire season, the first episode aired on Citytv on March 7, 2023. The series is available to stream on the CityTV website as well as on cable/satellite TV within Saskatchewan.[6] The program has been renewed for a second season.[7]
