Granny (Betty White) Lightfoot was suspect 4 in The Great Museum Heist Activity. This was a 2 day project in Mr. Root's class, between October 11, and 12 of 2023.
Past Crimes
editLightfoot has been convicted many times in her lifetime. These include felony tax evasion, embezzlement, cheating on a 3rd grade test, kidnapping, assault, and jaywalking.[1] Her sentencing is currently unknown.
Evidence
editThough the case has not yet been resolved, many people believe Lightfoot, along with suspected grandson James (Slim Jim) Heist, are responsible for the heist.
Connection
editThough it has still not been confirmed that Heist and Lightfoot worked together, connections can be made between them. A photo of Heist was found in Lightfoot's purse during arrest.[2] Both also have links to the crime scene.
Granny Lightfoot
editBehavior
editDuring Arrest, Lightfoot was not very cooperative. Upon approach, she attempted to hit the officers with her cane. She also appeared to be very cranky.[3]
Spray Paint
editReports noted that Lightfoot had "small droplets of a bluish substance on her fingertips"[4] At the crime scene, there was a can of blue spray paint left, with fresh residue on it.[5] The Mona Lisa was also vandalized with this paint, with a blue mustache, goatee, and the words "Haha! I stole your painting!" written on it.[6]
James Heist
editRed Fabric
editIt was reported that at the time of arrest, Heist's right sleeve was torn, along with a scratch on his arm.[7] In the bottom right corner of the ripped out painting, 2 red fabrics were found, that link to Heist's shirt.[8]
Shoeprint
editOn the museum bench, dirty prints that were reckoned to have come from a size 8 or 9 shoe were found.[9] These would match to what Heist was wearing at the time of the crime.[10]
Glass Shard
editWhen arrested, a shard of glass was found in Heist's left shoe.[11] This could link Heist to the crime, as the museum was exited forcefully by the robbers, through the glass window.[12]
