Fortim do Mar (or Panikota) is a small ship like fort built by Portuguese for defence purpose from the Gujarat Sultanate and Mughals. It is the best architectural example of Portuguese.[2] This sea fort that was used as a former jail. A small chapel for Our Lady of the Sea and a lighthouse is present within the island.[3][4]
