Failatu Abdul Razak better known as Faila is a Ghanaian chef.[1] She has recently attempted to set a new world record as the longest individual cook for long hours in the Guinness World Records.[2][3][4][5]
Early life and career edit
Failatu Abdul Razak was born on 7 November 1988.[6] She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University for Development Studies in Tamale, Ghana. Faila developed her culinary abilities while working as a chef at Mafara Hotel and Relax Lodge in Tamale.[7][8]
Longest cooking marathon record edit
In December 2023 Faila announced she would be attempting to break the record for the longest cooking record of 119 hours and 57 minutes, aiming to set her record by cooking for 120 hours or more. She began cooking on 1 January 2024 in Tamale, the northern region of Ghana.[9][10][11]
