Doaa Rouqa is a Palestinian photojournalist from Gaza who gained attention for her coverage of the 2023 Israel-Hamas war.[1][2]

Rouqa studied at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza.
Comments on 7 October attack edit
Following the 7 October attack, Rouqa wrote "October, Gaza, Glorious — history will record. Alaqsa flood." on her Facebook page.[3] She also posted an image of several Hamas members, with the caption "May God protect them. #alAqsa Flood... A morning and day like no other on the road to liberation and great victory, God willing.".[3]
Rouqa's comments were criticised by the pro-Israel media monitoring organisation HonestReporting.[3]
Coverage of the 2023 Israel-Hamas War edit
During the 2023 Israel-Hamas war, Rouqa worked as a freelance photojournalist for Reuters.[1][3] By December 2023, her Instagram page had 400,000 followers.
