In 1998, Chakkilam Infotech Ltd., an IT and software services company was founded by C V Subramanyam. Cigniti Inc. was bought by the company in September 2011. In 2012, the company signs a multi-year contract with one of the world's top robotics and toy manufacturers.[5]

The company signs a long-term contract with a provider of business intelligence and performance management solutions for the hospitality industry. The US-based testing company Gallop Solutions Inc. was purchased by the company in May 2013. In 2016, Cigniti Inc. USA and Gallop Solutions Inc. USA, two fully owned subsidiaries, merged to form Cigniti Technologies Inc.[6]

The business expands its activities in the UK in 2014 when it opens an office in London. In 2015, the CMMI Institute rated the organization at Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).[7]

In 2021, expanded global footprint to the Czech Republic with the opening of a new office to serve enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe.[8]

Cigniti paid $4.8 million to buy Aparaa Digital (RoundSqr), a specialised and veteran-led AI/ML, Data, and Blockchain Engineering services company and expanded into Digital Engineering services.[9]

In January 2023, Cigniti partnered with Lambda Test, a continuous quality testing cloud platform.[10]

Philanthropy edit

In March 2023, Cigniti donated medical equipments to The MNJ Institute of Oncology Reginal Cancer Center, Hyderabad.[11]

In June 2023, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology and Cigniti entered into an MoU to launch a training programme to IT students.[12]
