History edit

The Canton of Ticino national football team's foundation dates back to 2022. They represent the southern part of the Canton.[1]

The team has been an active member of ConIFA since 2023. They have played three matches: one national, against Real Cugnasco, and two international.

The first international match was for the CONIFA World Football Cup Playoff, while the second against Raetia.[2] Both ended in defeat.[1][3]

During the first months of 2023, the team also received notoriety in countries outside the canton of Ticino, thus being named in the Brazilian newspaper O Globo, and during L'eredità, a famous Italian programme.
