Bitter Root is an upcoming American supernatural drama film directed by Regina King, based on the comic series of the same name.
Premise
editThe remaining members of the monster hunting family Sangeryes find themselves fighting over whether to kill the creatures or to save them, during the Harlem Renaissance.
Production
editBitter Root was announced when Legendary Entertainment acquired the rights to the comic series in March 2019.[1] In May 2021, Regina King was hired to direct the film, in addition to serving as a producer. Bryan Edward Hill was working on a rewrite of the script at that time.[2]
