Banglabazar Union (Bengali: বাংলাবাজার ইউনিয়ন) is a Union Parishad under Dowarabazar Upazila of Sunamganj District in the division of Sylhet, Bangladesh.[1] It has an area of 38 square kilometers and a population of 40,005.[2]

Education
editThe Union has a literacy rate of 86%. It has 5 Govt. primary schools, 5 Private Primary school and 1 high schools. There are four madrasas (including one Kamil madrasa).
Language and culture
editThe native population converse in their native Sylheti dialect but can also converse in Standard Bengali. Languages such as Arabic and English are also taught in schools. The Union contains 68 mosques and 23 eidgahs.[3]
