BTC Fight Promotions (BTC) is a Canadian mixed martial arts promotion based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Established in 2017, BTC Fight Promotions has held the most events by an MMA organization in Ontario.[1][2]

BTC Fight Promotions was founded in 2017 by Irene Starr and Shari Carruthers.[3] BTC Fight Promotions held its inaugural event, BTC 1: Genesis, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on May 27, 2017. The event featured Kyle Nelson, Adam Assenza and Scott Hudson each winning their bouts in the first round.[2][4]

BTC Fight Promotions first title fights were held at BTC 3: Prophecy in Burlington, Ontario. Kyle Prepolec won the BTC Super Lightweight Championship via 2nd round TKO against Scott Hudson and Adam Assenza won the BTC Lightweight Championship via first round knockout against Shawn Wallace.[5]

BTC Fight Promotions' eighth event, BTC 8: Eliminator, took place in Niagara Falls on November 30, 2019. This event broke the record for most events by a Canadian promotion in the province of Ontario overtaking the Score Fighting Series.[6][7] This card featured appearances from future UFC fighters Lupita Godinez (winning the BTC Strawweight Championship) and Jasmine Jasudavicius [8]

BTC 13: Power took place at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. Canadian MMA pioneer Sarah Kaufman headlined the event against Jessy Miele. Kaufman won the fight via first round TKO.[9] This match ended up being Kaufman's final fight before retiring in 2022.[10][11]

BTC 15: Homecoming featured the culmination of the BTC Fight Promotions $10,000 Bantamweight Tournament. The finale featured a battle between two undefeated fighters Vinny Dias and Albaraa Atmeh. Dias won the bout via unanimous decision.[12]

BTC 19: Fight Night Kingston took place at the Leon's Centre in Kingston, Ontario on March 5, 2023. The main event featured Serhiy Sidey versus UFC veteran Walel Watson for the vacant BTC Bantamweight Championship. Sidey won the bout via first round TKO.[13] Soon after Sidey would get an opportunity to compete on Dana White's Contender Series. He won his bout via first round TKO and earned a UFC contract.[14]

BTC 20: Night of Champions took place in Burlington, Ontario on June . The main event featured Adam Assenza versus UFC veteran Polo Reyes for the vacant BTC Fight Lightweight Championship. Adam Assenza won the bout via third round TKO to reclaim the lightweight title.[15]
