Alper Alvi Moreno Şenkal (known as Alvi Moreno) is a public figure initially known for his appearance on "O Ses Çocuklar" (The Voice Kids); kids edition of the famous TV show "The Voice" produced in Türkiye. Born on June 18, 2002 (21 years old), he was 12 years old when he rose to fame. Despite having released music videos throughout the years, he maintains a low profile on social media and prioritizes education.[1]
Early life
editAlvi was born in Istanbul. He went to a bilingual kindergarten, proceeded to private primary and secondary schools, and finally to Koç School, with a selective exam. He formed the extracurricular music club. At the Sevgi Gonul Art Night, he performed solo, and his landscape photographs were exhibited in the gallery. He got the trophies for first place numerous times at the Talent Show. He was awarded two diplomas in high school, the International Baccalaureate diploma and the Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı diploma, getting him accepted into Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Moreno moved to the Netherlands in 2021 to attend Erasmus University Rotterdam.
TV & Appearances
editThe Voice Kids
editIn the show, he lost at the final Duello's to Şahin Kendirci. His performances were ovated by millions of viewers due to "his voice, interpretation, relaxed and confident attitude" while singing tunes from American stars like Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars.[2] He got to work closely with Turkish/Belgian star Hadise. The production of the show was canceled in 2016.[3] Nevertheless, Alvi Moreno gained traction while it aired, leading to an increase in social media following, views, and likes.[4] After becoming one of the first influencers in Turkiye on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Vine and Musically, it didn't take long for him to deactivate his public accounts, switching to a private social network.
The Voice Rap
editIn 2023, Exxen invited Alvi Moreno to compete in The Voice Rap ('O Ses Türkiye Rap') where he became a finalist. Murda called him "much more talented than he is aware of." He performed original works like Hikayem, Şarabı Marabı and several unreleased songs. His reunion with Hadise became a viral scene on social media. Even though he is prevented from choosing team Murda & Mero by a spontaneous 'block' (new feature to the TV series) from Sefo, rumours on the internet stated that he was seen backstage with Murda at Paradiso, hinting at an ongoing friendship.
LV - 003 (süslü sopa)
editIn 2019, Moreno released the house song "003 (süslü sopa) with the stage name 'LV' on streaming platforms. The song featured the voiceover extract of an old TV episode from Orhan Boran. The song became a hit in Turkish House music, exceeding 100.000 streams across platforms.
