Alise Trautmane-Uzuner edit

Alise Trautmane-Uzuner (born October 13, 1980, in Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian designer[1], entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of DOORS NYC.[2]

Designer Career edit

Alise Trautmane relocated to New York City in 2015 to pursue her passion for fashion design. She honed her skills at Parsons The New School for Design, where she graduated in 2017.[3] She has garnered recognition within the fashion industry with her brand NARCISS [4], earning her the "Designer of The Year" award from the Baltic Fashion Federation on three separate occasions.[5]

Entrepreneurship edit

DREEMS (Dreams on Air) edit

Trautmane-Uzuner's entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding and managing DREEMS (Dreams on Air)[6], a self-funded membership-based fashion platform.[7]

DOORS NYC edit

After DREEMS, Alise Trautmane-Uzuner founded DOORS NYC, an omnichannel platform operating in the realms of retail, public relations, and e-commerce. This innovative platform provides a vital space for independent fashion designers, niche cult brands, and burgeoning artists to showcase and market their creations within the United States.[8] The DOORS NYC concept store and PR showroom are strategically located in New York's vibrant SoHo district.[9]

Teaching Career edit

In addition to her role at DOORS NYC, Trautmane-Uzuner shares her expertise by teaching Fashion Public Relations at Parsons.[10] [11]
