Coelacanthopsis is an extinct genus of lobe-finned fish which lived during the Carboniferous period.Fossils of Coelacanthopsis have been found in several locations around the world, including Europe, North America, and Asia.

These fish are considered "living fossils" because they retain many primitive characteristics that were common in early sarcopterygians.

Some place it in the family Rhabdodermatidae.[1] Its resemblance to other members of the Rhabdodermatidae family suggests a potential close relationship with these early coelacanths.
