What kind of succession box should I make if the precessor of one title and the one of the other are the same, and both titles have also the same successor, but the titles have different years?

Difference between "Government offices" & "Political offices" succession box headers

What is the difference between a "Government office":

and a "Political office":

Use of Succession Boxes

I am trying to see if there is any content on how to effectively use these boxes. The succession box template is used a great deal in sports articles. In the case of Bob Gibson, I find it completely excessive. I almost relate it's use to that of WP:EL. Any thoughts or suggestions? //Tecmobowl 05:51, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
