There's already a category for Archbishops, why do we need another one for Roman Catholic archbishops

Because not all archbishops are Roman Catholic. Archbishops of Canterbury and York, for instance. —Ashley Y 04:54, 2005 Jun 15 (UTC)
The Archbishop of America also comes to mind. Gentgeen 3 July 2005 04:57 (UTC)

In response to the suggestion to merge with Archbishops

edit

Of course not. Not all archbishops are Catholic. Catholic archbishops are a subset of Archbishops. Bill 17:24, 18 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Scope

edit

The scope of this category should be clarified. Does it includes Eastern Catholic archbishops? It seems it doesn't include them. But the wikidata item linked covers both Eastern and Western/Roman/Latin Catholic archbishops.--Norrin_strange (Talk) 09:16, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
