I don't think this is acceptable, as redirects are in article space and this is a self reference. --kingboyk 16:25, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The self-reference is not visible. Anyone clicking on the redirect will be taken to the article and will not see the category on the redirect. If the redirect eventually becomes an article, then the category is removed anyway. Either way, no problem as far as I can see. Carcharoth (talk) 15:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
