Removal of articles listed only because they were discovered during the trip
editThis discussion on the Portola expedition got me thinking. I suggest that we depopulate people places listed here merely because there were visited during this expedition. If the category is 'places discovered during the expedition', that's inaccurate to call it that (for example, St. Charles, Missouri was founded almost 40 years before Lewis and Clark came there). We don't otherwise have categories for where explorers "discovered" places and people (which is kind of biased to say that the Multnomah people were 'discovered'). I think it's sufficient as a list at Timeline of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 22:16, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
