Category talk:Historical period templates

These templates seem to span terminology for environmental and cultural periods. In some cases the templates seem to confuse both forms of terminology. This seriously needs a sort out no? PatHadley (talk) 11:49, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

In fact, many of these duplicate better designed and more appropriate templates within WP Geology. This definitely needs a tidy! PatHadley (talk) 11:58, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Ok, so most of the geological period templates are also pointed to by the relevant geology template category. To me it makes no sense for them to also be here. Also, I think the prehistory templates should be separated and be looked after by WP Archaeology? PatHadley (talk) 20:29, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Separated now. If anyone from WP History or a Historic archaeologist wants to add relevant historic period templates this category might eventually make some sense PatHadley (talk) 16:50, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

I can't fathom a reasonable distinction between this and Category:History_timeline_templates Jac96 (talk) 08:34, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
