Necessity of non-American specific category conception

The United States commercial TV medium is not the nearly English exclusive entity that it was in earlier decades. The United States has networks that draw from other nations, particularly from nations speaking languages other than English.

Furthermore, several US market cable providers extensively offer content from many other nations, speaking non-English languages; and the reverse is doine with those other nations. Hence, distinctions between nations and their TV culture are less exclusive than in the past. Therefore it is appropriate to include non-US networks in this category.
