Great siege of Gibralter edit

Why is it here? Tony (talk) 06:33, 1 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

It was a battle that had an impact on the overall outcome of the American War for Independence. It's true American forces were not involved. Consider this, the French and Indian War is called, more globally, the Seven Years War. So is there a more global name for the warring that occurred among France, England, Dutch Republic and Spain 1775-1783? If there is, then that would be a worthy Wikipedia category. Until then I vote to keep the battles that were part of the whole story of the American Revolutionary War even if American forces were not involved.Burntdog (talk) 11:45, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
