Stauffenberg (in German: Schenk von Stauffenberg) is the name of a Southern-German (Swabian) noble family, titled with Count (Graf) and Imperial Baron (Reichsfreiherr).
Famous for Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, the would-be assassin of Hitler in the failed attempt of July 20 1944 plot (July 20 plot) in which also his elder brother Berthold took part.
