Taxonomy
editThis species was described in 1968 by Ray Forster from a single female specimen. The holotype is stored at Otago Museum.[1]
Description
editThe female has been recorded at 14mm in length. The carapace and legs are reddish brown. The abdomen is dark brown with some pale areas on the dorsal surface.[1]
Distribution
editThis species is only known from Halfmoon Bay in Stewart Island. [1]
Conservation status
editUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as Data Deficient with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend", "One Location". [2]
