Andromeda Peters Osam (born June 11, 1992) is an American actress, beauty pageant titleholder, and licensed psychotherapist[1] born in Western Massachusetts that was crowned Miss United States 2018.[2] Peters is a licensed clinical therapist with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Social Work.[3] She is an advocate for mental health awareness, and founder of her own mental health organization Your Mind Matters Global.[4] Peters was born to parents; one is a Ghanaian highlife musician[3] and the other a life coach and nurse who is Indigenous American, Nigerian, Filipino, and British.[4]

Early life and education edit
Peters was born June 11, 1992, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to a Ghanaian highlife musician[3] and a nurse mother of Native American, Nigerian, Filipino, and British.[5] She became involved in theatre and acting at the age of 11.[6] Peters holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Theatre from Elms College and a Master of Social Work from Springfield College.[3]
Career and Pageantry edit
Peters won the Miss United States competition in 2018 while representing the state of Virginia.[2] While she was Miss United States, Peters was a face of Huda Beauty's Overachiever Campaign which highlighted Peter's self-love and mental health awareness advocacy.[7] She starred in the pseudo-reality TV show My African Love With Efia Odo which aired on Tubi and Amazon Prime Video in 2022.[8][9]
Peters is a licensed psychotherapist providing therapy and life coaching with a focus on mindfulness, trauma, and neuroscience.[1]
