AfroBasket 2021 will be the 30th edition of the AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament is to be hosted by Rwanda.[1]

Host selectionEdit

In June 2019, FIBA Africa announced that Rwanda will host the 2021 FIBA AfroBasket outbesting the bids of Senegal, Ivory Coast, and DR Congo.[1]

QualificationEdit

The qualification started in 2017,with nine teams participating in the pre-qualifiers, including the four eliminated teams from the 2019 World Cup African Qualifiers. The hosts Rwanda will qualify directly to the AfroBasket 2021. While the 15 remaining spot will be determined.
