Adley Kinsman (born November 25, 1988), known professionally as Adley, is an American entertainer, online personality, entrepreneur, and host. Kinsman gained recognition for her comedic and lifestyle content on social media platforms, particularly for her viral videos that garner over 2 billion monthly views. She also participated in the reality singing competition show The Voice as a member of Team Blake.[1][2]
Early life and career
editKinsman, born Adley Geneva Stump in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Terri and Greg Stump, grew up alongside her brother, Jake Stump.[3]
After graduating from Bishop Kelley High School in 2007, she pursued a degree in strategic communication from Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2011.[4]
Initially not intending to pursue a career in music, Kinsman found herself on the path to entertainment after a dare from her sorority sisters led her to audition for The Voice.[5]
Career
editKinsman gained initial fame in 2014 during Season Two of The Voice. She began creating and sharing comedy and prank videos on social media platforms, amassing a large following.[6]
After gaining initial fame, Adley transitioned into hosting with the launch of Chart Breakers. As the host of Season 1 of Chart Breakers, The Internet Takeover, Adley invited her followers to plan her wedding, a concept that garnered attention and led to the show being picked up by Bunim/Murray.[7][8]
Kinsman ventured into music, releasing several singles between 2012 and 2019. Notably, her 2016 single Don't Wanna Love Him received the Grammy Amplifier Award. She performed at stadium shows and opening for artists like Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert.[9]
Transitioning her focus to comedy, Kinsman released parody songs such as "Bacon. Eggs.," "Brady Leave," and "Bumble" in 2019.[10]
In 2021, she co-founded Story House, a media company with a focus on creating engaging and innovative content. She also built Story House’s subsidiary, VIRALISH.[11]
