Igor Bunich - a much earlier article (as part of the translation work from WP:PNT) has been recently updated by the German native speaker and would benefit from help with some language clenaup, but mainly it needs attention from a someone with the knowledge of the subject. - Introvert~? 20:55, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Kremlin stars by me. Wow, this was a tough one. Needs proofreading. I couldn't translate some of the physics stuff (like mkm). KNewman 07:38, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ivan Shokoloff, deleted as a hoax on March 30, was recreated on April 12, 2006 by a "new" user. It has now been speedy deleted, but the fact that the article had been tweaked to make it look considerably more plausible suggests that we may be dealing with a dedicated and sneaky troll/vandal here. Ahasuerus 16:59, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Added categories and generally cleaned up. Any additional input welcome. Want to know how the Soviet's tried to change human nature? A neglected late tsarist and early Soviet educator. Progedu 15:15, 27 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]
{{audio-ru}} per popular request by me. Please review as I am not the greatest template-maker out there. Thanks.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 15:59, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I believe admins should move the new article to Gagarin Family and restore Gagarin as a disambiguation page. --Ghirla-трёп- 08:43, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Battle of KerzhenetsEsn 09:25, 24 April 2006 (UTC) - New article. I need help translating the names of the awards (see my comment in "history"). :)[reply]
Pyotr Valuev created, a glorified stub. The succession box should be probably replaced with two separate templates; Ignatyev's data needs to be corrected (he was an ambassador, not Chairman of the Committee of Ministers). Ahasuerus 07:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please post this bunch of nonsense for deletion. --Ghirla-трёп- 08:43, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think all of these articles should be merged into the article of the village that it's part of (this is assuming that such a place exists, and that there's some real information in there). If it's all a joke, then yes, delete it. Esn 10:27, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nonsense it is not, but it is definitely not encyclopedia-worthy. The article on Alyokhnovo is the only one that should be retained. "Московский писатель" (not "пясатель"!) is actually a horticulture club (садоводство) in the village [1][2], and the folks listed as "prime-ministers" (I really got a kick out of that one) were most likely heading the club at one time or another. As to not waste anybody's time, I'll speedy this valuable information.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes listing an article here is more efficient than prod/afd ;) Conscious 09:13, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's not something to be encouraged, though. The correct procedure would still be AfD; but it just hurts me to think what a waste of time it would have been for everybody.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Where would they go? Main articles have a link to "Administrative divisions of whatever"; adding a template seems somewhat redundant.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:14, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I created {{geo-Alexander}} to tackle the horrors of the Russian word-formation as applied to Wikipedia navigation. Do you, fine ladies and gentlemen, think it is a good idea or not-so-much? See Alexandrovsk for an example of the template placing.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 18:44, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's a good idea, for one. Perhaps there are some other names that need something like this as well. Esn 10:25, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There are definitely tons of other names that could use a template such as this one. I just didn't want to create a bunch of templates before hearing others' opinions. Others, it looks like, could care less (so at least I know the idea is viable), so I'll most likely make more templates in the future. Thanks for your comment.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 14:14, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sarafan. I created a stub to disambig from some gamecruft and forgot to list it here. `'mikka(t) 00:08, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lisianski, Yuri Lisyansky. I created the latter article for collecting redirects. Amusingly, the redirect/page ratio was 100% before I spoiled it by an attempt of standardizing (but it is still 80%). `'mikka(t) 22:57, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Urengoy, a geo-stub by my created for technical and maintenance reasons. Still, it's a real place, so please expand if you feel like it.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 18:15, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lyudinovo, a geostub by me. Never heard of this town, but it turns out that it has quite an interesting history. KNewman 09:24, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Roman Pavlyuchenko, Dmitri Torbinsky and Aleksandr Pavlenko - I am going to try and add pages for some Russian footballers over the next couple of weeks. Any help from anyone who can actually watch Russian football is appreciated. Montco 01:06, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Roman Rosen by User:SimonATL. The author seems to be in want of further information on the subject. Any help is appreciated. --Ghirla-трёп- 16:31, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! It'd be great to finally have at least one federal subject with info on all its raions.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) • (yo?); 19:20, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The guy lives and works in Canada. If that's how he wants to spell his name (which, looking at the list of his publications, it is) and be known as, there isn't much we can do about it.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 18:30, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Arthur Conolly, created by me in 2005 as part of a different project, but may benefit from a peer review by Russian editors. Ahasuerus 02:59, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It has not even 200 items so far. If we don't include here such questionable entries as Leonid Gobyato or Nestor Kukolnik, the list will be even shorter. --Ghirla-трёп- 06:16, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It is bullshit. Are you sure you are Russian? `'mikka(t) 06:44, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"The Germanic tribes were the most notable inhabitants of Eastern Europe and Russia"? Bullshit. The subject is covered in Kurgan hypothesis, Thraco-Cimmerians, etc, etc. Please AfD unsourced speculations. --Ghirla-трёп- 06:30, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It needs work, that's for sure. I have added it to my hit list and will get to it at some point, but I am busy with other portals at the moment :( Ahasuerus 14:25, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Arvo Tuominen unstubbed, now he just needs to be added to Winter War. That article needs a lot of help, though :( Ahasuerus 04:40, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Cranes Are Flying is unstubbed by an anon, but additions don't look very encyclopaedic to me. Wikification is welcome. --Ghirla-трёп- 06:26, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like articles on Russian cities/towns have recently been targeted as a part of a school project or something like that. Articles on Arti, Irbit, Magnitogorsk, Nizhny Tagil, Ozyorsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Polevskoy, Shadrinsk, Yugorsk, and Zlatoust (I may have missed some) have recently been edited by new users with similarly-constructed user names and same IP range. The edit pattern is very similar—they all have only very basic knowledge of wiki-markup and style conventions, they all [ignore the "Show preview" button, often making a dozen very minor edits in a row, they upload copyrighted images, ignore messages posted on their talk pages, and, while parts of the information they contribute are quite useful and extensive (which is why I'm listing this as an announcement), their contributions require extensive post-copyediting and dePOVing. I have so far copyedited the articles on Arti, Irbit, and Magnitogorsk and am now working on Nizhny Tagil. Any assistance with copyediting the rest of the affected articles would, however, be much appreciated.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 16:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Deleted. There is no official definition of a "neighborhood" in Russia, unlike in some other countries. These "neighborhoods" can perfectly well be covered by the already-existing categorization scheme.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 14:23, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
