This department is inactive due to a shortage of reviewers. Since 2008 there has been a freeze on promotions to A-class as discussed at this archive.

If you were considering nomination here, you may wish to try alternative forums such as:

WikiProject Biography assessment, for informal assessments up to B-class
Peer review, a Wikipedia-wide informal review to gain feedback from other editors
Good article nominations, a formal review which is the only avenue for assigning a GA-class rating
WikiProject Military history A-class review, a formal review for assigning an A-class rating to military biographies
Featured article candidates, a formal review which is the only avenue for assigning an FA-class rating

Aside from the biography assessment, it is considered inappropriate to nominate an article for more than one process at the same time.
