*Quick comment - you'll need to work on the sorting. #12 & #13 seem to sort out of order per term, CT sorting ends up with two lines of some info (#26, #27) then about 8 lines of en-dashes, then the rest.     • AHHH! I even checked Safari! The term thing was something I didn't even notice when I created the list. The CFBDW source had the terms, but I didn't notice that one coach's term was actually inside of another coach's. Checking my other source, I found the issue. The list has been corrected. Still trying to identify the CT sorting issue, which I am not seeing in Safari on Windows. It's sorting the en dashes, then zeros, then numbers as it should. #26 & #27 are en dashes, so not sure why you explicitly mentioned them.—NMajdan•talk 22:42, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
      • I still get an odd effect when sorting by, say, PW. I get #s 11, 12, 14, 20, 17, 19 (C% from .600 to .250 in descending order), then I get #'s 1 to 10 (em-dashes in the C% col), then I get #s 18, 27, 26 etc (with C% seemingly randomly ordered).         • Again, it looks fine in Safari on Windows. There is literally no way for me to replicate this issue to resolve. It is using the same method of sorting as all my other coach lists. Might I suggest you try this?—NMajdan•talk 16:36, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Shouldn't the first mention of the Southwest Conference be wikilinked in the lead?
  • Not really important, just my taste in words but, I would have used charter member instead of original member when talking about the joining/forming the Southwest Conference.
  • known as Texas A&M College Before the school changed their name to Texas A&M Univeristy, it was Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas and abbriviated as Texas A.M.C. not Texas A&M College.
  • ...Since my List of Texas Tech Red Raiders head football coaches's FL nomination was closed and our discussion about how to incorporate/whether to include interim head coaches was never resolved, lets continue it here. I still believe that any interim head coaches should be included on these lists as the games they coached are still counted as wins and losses. Your statistics in the lead reflect that interims should be counted as HCs as the overall number of games played is incorrect without the interim's coached games. Also on lists like List of North Carolina Tar Heels men's head basketball coaches still include an entry where the was no official head coach even though it is a coaches list and not a season-by-season list. Adding an Int. between Franchione and Sherman won't compromise the other coaches but instead, reflect the real record with Darnell's bowl game.

  • TAMU has played 1,155, not 1,154 games as as Gary Darnell coached one bowl game as an interim head coach which ties in with...
  • According to my source, its 1154. And this is the first article where I have given the exact number as opposed to saying "more than 1,100". Maybe I should revert back to that method.—NMajdan•talk
  • My mistake. I just assumed that Darnell's bowl game wasn't included. I went ahead and checked and all 1,154 games are there. For what its worth, the list will have to be made annually anyway, so I wouldn't worry about 1,154 vs. >1,100 in the lead. I prefer the way you have it on this one with the exact number. Comments - besides the odd sorting above, some other things:
  • The list is not sorted in order to start with - #12 and #13 are the wrong way round.
    • Fixed an issue in the previous review and these numbers got off without my notice. Fixed.—NMajdan•talk
  • C% doesn't sort correctly in Firefox 3.6 - Darnell with his .000 sorts before the en-dashes, then onto Stiteler.
  • Any reason Bachman isn't linked in the lead?
  • "the worst coach" POV - perhaps, the least successful?
    • I believe I'm neutralizing any POV with the prefacing "in terms of winning percentage."—NMajdan•talk
  • You don't mention what "Int" is, nor do you comment that the Aggies have had 27 coaches plus one interim coach. It is also worth noting why this is an "interim" position.
  • Note 1 isn't referenced (and I'd prefer to see notes as A, B, C etc so they aren't confused with references but that's a personal preference so no big deal)
    • Its actually covered by the general references. Can I have a reference in both the general and specific references? Which regards to your other issue, the notes are labeled [A 1], [A 2]... so I think that helps readers avoid confusion.—NMajdan•talk

  • Is the Aggies nickname referenced anywhere, in particular the first year of its use?
    • I can get references for the nickname (thankfully, there is already a lot of Featured TAMU content), but I have searched and nothing indicates the first year of use. The term Aggie derived from "agriculture" as in Texas Agriculture & Mechanical University. The term is common for a lot of schools that began primarily focused on agriculture, so I'm sure the nickname was born out of convenience and not decided by a governing body. Just a guess.—NMajdan•talk
