Re Colinisation

In regards to the deletion of the page, I would like to request more time before deletion. I am currently trying to gather together more sources and references in order to fit wiki's standards. Due to frequent misspellings of the name, retrieving internet sources is difficult. If I cannot get the resources necessary together in time, may I resubmit the page when I do?

More Info Please

Would you please provide more information regarding the Oildex article. This article is to inform readers on industry standards and securities within the paper-less accounts payable industry. It should not be deleted.

Thank you for the additional information. Courtney L Brewer 19:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks for wikifying the references I put up in Routing in delay tolerant networking... I've no clue how you did it so fast, it would've taken me hours to mess around with all those <ref> tags and to get everything right. Thanks again! Utopianheaven (talk) 12:41, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Grow-Hops

Hi. I'm new here, so I don't know if I'm doing this correctly or not; if this is wrong, please let me know how else I should do it. You can contact me via private email billvelek AT alltel DOT net

Anyway, I just started the Grow-Hops article; please tell me how I can change the title. I have invited the 1,880 members of my Grow-Hops group to join me in editing the article, so I hope that we can progress very quickly and bring it into compliance with Wiki standards. Thanks. Re: Your impersonator

Hey, nneonneo. Just to let you know, the checkuser I requested has been done. Unfortunately, since it's all on the same network owned by your university (including your own account), there wasn't anything to conclude checkuser-wise. Also, with the sole exception of Wei Xi Fan, User:B2xiao hasn't edited any articles you've edited, so aside from your statement that that is your username elsewhere (which we can't confirm, of course), we have nothing to go on to justify blocking him as an impersonator. Furthermore, none of his edits are unconstructive, so we can't block him for vandalism. In short, there's no evidence to justify a block in accordance with the blocking policy. If you'd like to have this looked into further, I'd suggest opening a thread on the incidents noticeboard. Sorry I can't do anything, but without any conclusive proof, we have nothing to go on. Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:03, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I thought I'd already blocked those. They're taken care of now. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:24, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

3x a lot for your help

You might want to take a look on their revert log. My edits have also been reverted several times during last couple of days, which is annoying to any wiki editor. And I have given my reasons for most of my edits in the Jin Jing talk page. 3x again Helloterran (talk) 05:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Jin Jing article

I reverted the content of one user. We had come to the consensus that we will scale the artcle back to just the bare facts. Please see the talk page BEFORE you arbitrarly revert. Jingandteller aka supportjingjing has removed any content from other sources. Please have a look at the discussion page. It's already been prodded, but my reason for the original one works here too. I might look at those again later, something smells oddly like copyright. Hersfold (t/a/c) 16:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

About the Length of the Space Shuttle

I noticed you reverted the edit by me about the size of the Space Shuttle. I think there is some confusion on what exactly we are talking about. The Space Shuttle as it is assembled on the launch pad (orbiter + solid rocket boosters + external tank)is 184 feet long measured from end to end. I guess we could be talking about the orbiter only, but that is not 149 feet long. The 149 feet originally listed is, however, the length of the solid rocket booster, which doesn't make sense to use. If you agree, I'd like to revert the article back to 184 feet. Please let me know what you think. Diderot's dreams (talk) 13:31, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the response on my talk page. I have corrected the height to 184 ft, as before. This number is from NASA, and I didn't see the stack height listed elsewhere in the article. Oops about my first metric conversion! Got it right this time. Ironically, the original listed height of 149 feet was also converted incorrectly!!! It's a good thing wikipedians only work on the article for the Space Shuttle, and not the shuttle itself! Diderot's dreams (talk) 08:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd say take those to RFCU. They seem like pretty obvious socks, so RFCU should be able to verify it easily. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Request to move article Guanidinium Chloride incomplete

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Guanidinium Chloride to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. -JPG-GR (talk) 23:44, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

On Situated Cognition

Thank you for the help with citation formating. As you might note, we are actively editing the entry and will continue doing so over the next 2 weeks as a final class project. We would like your specific feedback, in the form of clarifying, on the bulletin on the top of the page stating the entry lacks "in text" citations. Please be specific here as we feel the revisions provide ample and thorough in text citations. If this was a comment left over from previous versions of the page please remove it or instruct us how to do so. Thank you. Linking years

Hi Nneonneo. You seem to do a lot of new article clean up (Thanks! Keep it up!) so I just wanted to point out that linking individual years like you did here is discouraged. No idea if this is something you've done regularly by habit, but if so, please do leave years unlinked in the future. Thanks! BigBlueFish (talk) 15:19, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Removing Tags

Hello nneonneo: What do we have to do to remove the tags on the article Jehovah's Witnesses and Child Sex Abuse? I appreciate your removing my "weasel words" (when I added them, I was unfamiliar with the term or concept as being unacceptable), as well as other editing you have done to remove POVs. I hope you can see that I am no longer a single-purpose account, and that my recent edits have been more in line with Wikipedia guidelines. Hence, I think the warnings of the tags are now less relevant. If you did not place the tags, can you direct me to whom I should ask? I do not want to remove them without permission. Thanks!--ProofreaderXL (talk) 23:20, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Carcano page

I would rewrite the article, but I am too stupid to figure out wiki at the moment. Someday when I get better at it, I might. But in the mean time, there are several, much better articles on Carcanos already on here. This one was just mis-listed as 1918 instead of 1891, and the acticle that somebody wrote was wrong on just about every fact. Butter Plaire

What language was that? I think it was Malay, but I don;t know. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 04:31, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

I could not find anything on Google about "Butter Plaire". "Band indie" seemed clear. I searched for some of the words in the text, and got back hits with "Malayasia." Oh, well. The creator got blocked for an advertising username. If they want to assert notability, I would prefer English. I can ask User:Dorftrottel for German and User:Fram for Dutch. I only speak two languages, English and bad English. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 13:29, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

AGORACOM deletion?

Hi there,

Recently you deleted our AGORACOM entry, and the reason stated that the material was not notable enough. Could you please explain why it was deemed not notable? AGORACOM is currently North America's largest online investor relations firm. We're an established company with almost 100 small cap public companies as our clients.

If you go to Google Canada and type "agoracom", you'll see on the first page of the search result, that we're included as a case study by Intel, which itself is a large corporation, and I believe our being listed in their case study does serve as a worthy reference. Secondly, also on the first page of the Google search result, you'll see that we have our own dedicated hub at the Globe and Mail website, which is one of Canada's largest newspapers.

Thanks. Smallcapir (talk) 18:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Nneonneo. We understand that we have to submit neutral point of views, and if you notice, the entry that we submitted today has a reference to the agoracom.com's About page, and the material there is a paraphrase of our About section, and is neutral since it only states true facts about our company, what it does, and the services we provide.

When resubmit the entry, how do we make sure that it doesn't get deleted again? It's possible that another Wikipedia admin sees it and thinks it's not notable enough and then deletes it.

Alohaouach

Dear Robert,

I appreciate your efforts in trying to have Arabic texts translated into English, but please stop using Google translate. It's not good enough, at least for Arabic-to-English texts, for the result to be posted in any article's mainspace. A person who can translate directly from the Arabic would go back to the original, and a person who wants to clean up the translation has no idea what the garbage was originally intended to be. Google translate is only good enough to get a rough idea of the content of the article as a whole - is it a biography, a history, a geographical article, or what? Anything more detailed needs attention from a human translator. Thanks. Cbdorsett (talk) 13:01, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
