Dude what are you talking about?

Today Yossi Benayoun went to Liverpool to go through the medical tests, he already signed a contract and a fee has been agreed by West Ham and Liverpool, and hence, he's in Liverpool, open up a sports newspaper and you'll see for yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verjolas (talkcontribs) 08:01, July 11, 2007 (UTC)}}

Thank you for your message, Verjolas, it is appreciated. The deal is still not yet confirmed on either the Liverpool F.C. official website or the West Ham United Official website at 10:30 today. There's no rush, let's wait for either club to officially announced the signing. --Malcolmxl5 09:42, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Yossi

Hi, I was just wondering whether you are the main writer of the Yossi Benayoun article? I see that you are an active vandalism watcher, and have done some improvement work in the past few days. Basically, I'm here because I generally go through the articles of anyone who has just joined Liverpool, and improve them if need be. However, the Benayoun article already seems in pretty great shape. That is, except for the huge tag that complains of a lack of references, and a variety of weasel words. Anyway, basically what I'm saying is that I'll help rewrite this, but have you got any specific sources that you've used to build this article? I found this in-depth interview, but unfortunately I can't find it on http://www.independent.co.uk You got any others? aLii 19:28, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi aLii, thanks for the message. No, I'm not the main writer of the Yossi Benayoun article though I have made quite a few edits in recent weeks to try to make it more readable and to fill out the context in one or two places but mainly to verify some of what was already written, adding references along the way. There's a bit more work to do on that. I don't have any single source like the Jason Burt article, I tend to work from the existing text, check it, reference it, modify it to correctly reflect the source (if needed) and sometimes take out something that just plainly wrong. Is that OK? --Malcolmxl5 08:34, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
P.S. I suggest the tag is removed as there are a few references now (though more would be good).
Yeah, sure it's ok. I was just wondering what the score was. As you can see I got the page protected the other day, it certainly needed it. I'm starting to think that all football-related pages could do with protection over the summer... aLii 20:28, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

References

I was just going through the Marlon Harewood article and noticed that the references wern't correctly formatted. I see that you have had a very good attempt at them but you have done it the hard way! Wikipedia has templates ready to use. They can be found at Wikipedia:Citation templates. If you have a look at the Marlon Harewood page now you can see how it should be done. The end result looks the same but it the correct formatting within the article text itself. Any questions can be left on my talk page and I will be happy to help. Muffin Man 23 19:23, 1 August 2007 (UTC) Just had a thought. Next season I am in charge of their own website. Maybe I could add the team there, and use that as a reference. References

Hey. Good work with all those references on West Ham related articles. Just one thing; references should be placed after punctuation. A small thing, but it would help in GA, FA nominations etc. Thanks, Mattythewhite 17:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for letting me know that the article is considered for deletion. Although I started the basic article, and added some more info a bit later, it was not me who added the celebrity info so I am not sure where that was sourced. StephP 14:41, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Peter Franklin Jr

Delete OK, I cannot find significant or independent coverage of Peter Franklin Jr. The article has been deleted four times and should not have been re-created without substantial revision, especially the use of independent sources. The content, which is also here[1] and here[2], appears to be personal promotion; is User:Pirtek Peter Franklin? Still, putting it up in three places after it's been deleted four times, could be called spamming. Delete and salt. Come back when you've made it in ChampCar, Peter. --Malcolmxl5 08:28, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

You noted, "Come back when you've made it in ChampCar". If that is what it takes, why ddo you have Formula Ford, and even Formula V drivers on Wikipedia, I am a freind of Peter Franklin Jr. He Will be in Champcar, within the next 4 years, you can count on that, and when he does. You will then relise you have been making a mistake by deleting the page on him.

You can view his website at, peterfranklinjr.page.tl. What other info do you want before you will accept him on Wikipedia. Any info I can get you.

Sure, I will withdraw, but there is no getting around the fact that it was a fair and good nomination to begin with. I have expanded this article to cover his management career esp. at Southampton and Liverpool, but the section on his playing career is rather brief. As you appear to be a West Ham United fan, is there any chance that you could add something to expand this section? Malcolmxl5 Per your advice, I've located documentation of artist Samizu Matsuki's painting awards of 1970 and 1971 and added an external link to it on her wikipedia biography. It consists of excerpts from the book "Artists/USA 1972-73 - Guide to Contemporary Art"; Library of Congress Catalog Number 78134303. ISSN: 0196-6154. Rude false remarks

I wrote an article about Margareta Svensson. It upsets me that it is deleted, but even more so that there are harassments from so called administers that apparently can say whatever they like, with no knowledge at all and no interest in finding out either. THOSE FALSE ALLEGATIONS will be what people will read about Margareta Svensson, not her extraordinary international career as a singer-pianist. There was NOTHING in that article that wasn't true, and if you administers were half-way professional you would find that out.

I had written I think three sentences when I had a message that she was not notable. And yes I did delete that message, and I only deleted that ONE, because it was not relevant. The article was not up. I couldn't imagine that someone who could write such a rude false remark after me having written almost nothing at all, could be favored. Is Wikipedia a game to see who can stand unfair beatings and just turn the other cheek?

I may have made the mistakes of creating an account with the name Margareta Svensson, because I thought that was how it was supposed to be done. And I also uploaded much before it was the final article, because I wanted to see that it worked. I didn't think anyone was that interested in my work that I got a comment long before I was done. Another lengthy rude comment, complained how I had worded a sentence, and I made changes to accommodate.

One comment that it couldn't be valid because references were in Swedish - I must say that arrogance does not even begin to describe such a comment. English is the language that is used by the world, but most people in the world does NOT have English as their first language.

It seems that administers are people with too much time on their hands who have nothing better to do than to quickly, within minutes of first activity, beat a new person down with rude, false remarks. Shouldn't you be interested instead? But being mean may be how you get your satisfaction? You are no better than bullying kids on the playground.

Ah, thank you for the explanation. I see now that the article has been vastly improved. I tagged it when I was doing a little new page patrolling, and at that point it looked like it was just an obituary someone made for perhaps their grandfather. There are so many new pages created about non-notable people (usually an autobiography, or a family member, or occasionally a pet) that I believe that my actions were reasonable, but I'm glad that in this case it was actually a legitimate article, and that it's been improved so quickly! Thanks again for letting me know, and for being so polite about it :-) --Icarus (Hi!) 18:07, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to My Party

There seems to be very little interest in Rusted Root. I was surprised, a few weeks back, that there was no article for this album, so I created it. I know little about the band, though, so all the text was written from info that was in the article about the band. I removed the template you put on it for several reasons. (1) This info was taken from the band article, and not researched for this article. (2) There hardly enough info in this article to require citations. (3) The template you placed was longer than the text in the article. (4) I hate to see these templates all over Wikipedia, especially when the info in question isn't really contested. So... I have removed the template, and placed messages in the band and album articles asking editors for help. Thanks again for your interest! -Freekee (talk) 04:13, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

When you add th {{maths rating}} tag to a talk page, please take the time to fill in all three fields (class, importance, field). If you don't do that, someone else has to follow behind you to fill in the data. Kelly Chang Rickert

It looks like you marked this one for deletion. I think she is in the same category with the contestants of other reality shows like Survivior and Big Brother who have pages. I don't think reality stars in general are noteworthy but if we allow some and not others it would be inconsistent and demonstrate personal bias. Please remove the deletion tag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.168.110.206 (talk) 16:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Canon EOS 300X

Well we agree on something, that it should be deleted at non-notable. But I had prod'd it some months ago and that was declined, so really the only other action is an WP:AFD, which of course I would support. MBisanz talk 06:24, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Tarun Chakraborty‎

Hey, I deleted this article some time ago under speedy criteria and I've now listed it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tarun Chakraborty‎. I hope you don't mind too much, I noted that you'd prod'ed it. I'm doing this so we can get a consensus against the article and get some strength behind speedy deletion if it's recreated. In this edit you remove a link which to me appears to be unequivocally legitimate. I was almost going to slap you with {{uw-delete1}}, however, you appear to be an editor in good standing, so I choose this way of reaction to your edit instead. __meco (talk) 07:42, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

please fix this edit/page

A terdit, I assure you, isn't a feature of halo. It is a mispronunciation of the word turret and is used in a homegame I attend and one of the idiots in said game put it up here. I am a new editor and don't know how to remove the terdit page, and when I tried, you made it a link to Halo 2. If you could remove this, it would be a boon for accuracy. Thanks. I've changed the redirect to a recent case where voter id law was upheld by the Supreme Court. I think this is an improvement as the Georgia case was an unsourced section in a biographical article. Brian Mawhinney and Leeds United

How can you call Mawhinney's involvement with Leeds United's 15 point deduction as irrelevant. He is the Chairman of the organisation (the Football League) who deducted the points and he was the one who addressed the media and pursuaded the member clubs to vote in support of the League (and against LUFC). Re this edit, I'm not sure if you realise all the listings on your source you cited are call-ups, not necessarily appearances. For instance, he didn't play in this game, but it would appear that you've included it in your stats. As such, I've removed the stats pending someone checking through the list to see which ones he played in. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:42, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Scott Carson

This article is now looking very good indeed and I've upgraded it to B-class. The lead needs expanding, so I've had a go at that, but my wording could maybe be re-phrased better. When you're done with your current batch of changes would you be OK with me putting the article up for peer review? I think the article is a strong candidate for good article but I always find it worthwhile getting input from others before making the nomination. Cheers. --Jameboy (talk) 23:43, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry I'd forgotten about Carson for a while, but after adding some info about his school and personal life, I have now put the article up for peer review.
