New Draft of american musician
Hi :JSFarman I have written and edited this draft about a New York artist, "David Gonzalez" who is a bit difficult to classify (musician, poet, actor, teacher ....?) I have found references from independent sources of great relevance such as the New York Times, Washington Post and other news. I have seen that you are on the AfC participant list, and you have specialized in music. I ask you the great favor if you can review this article, thank you very much. - Hi @Miskito89. He meets notability based on the sources you added, but the article is hard to follow. I totally get that he is hard to classify but the article can be organized in a way that will help readers understand what he does/has done. I started a copy edit and added some section headings. (Of course you can edit as you see fit!) I think writing the article chronologically will make it simpler. Also, keep the language plain, and refer to him as "Gonzalez," not "David."
- For some examples, check out articles on other multi-disciplinary artists such as Nick Cave or David Byrne. If you are listing his collaborations, be specific about *how* he collaborated. For example, what did he do with Jessye Norman? Why did he receive grants? (For which discipline?) What was he commissioned for? (Music? Poetry? Play?)

- Hi@JSFarman, thank you very much for your quick reply. I am finding the Nick Cave article much more enjoyable and looking forward to reading it. I think the problem with David Gonzalez's article is that it is too flat and like a CV. There are some very interesting interviews where Gonzalez tells part of his life, how he started telling stories, and anecdotes that may be worthwhile. I'm going to try to find all the information we need and enter it and when the article is more rounded I'll get back to you. Hello again JSFarman, thank you very much for giving me guidance to improve David Gonzalez's article. I have introduced new data about his works and about his role as an artist (musician, poet, actor...)
I have also found dates and made a chronology of his most important shows, I have also found out in which way he collaborated with other musicians and in which concrete projects and in which theaters, etc.
I have also included some personal anecdotes extracted from his interviews. And some outstanding phrase or quote from the NYT and some poet.
I hope you can review it, that now it will be more enjoyable and easier to read and worthy of Wikipedia.
Something that I still think is not completely solved is the title; as there are so many people (athletes, politicians etc) with the name David Gonzalez, what do you think should be the concept by which it appears in parentheses?

- Hi -Miskito89. The article is better -- thanks for the edit -- but the language is still flowery and not neutral. I didn't go through the entire article but it appears that not everything is cited. His comments in interviews are not independent - you should use them to verify sparingly.
- I did not realize you were submitting the article as a disclosed paid editor; the process of reviewing paid articles is time-consuming and the length of the article is challenging.
- That said, I think multi-disciplinary artist is fine for the disambiguation. Happy editing! JSFarman (talk) 16:06, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
Pasticceria (il) Boccione
Hallo JSFarman, I moved the article about the Pasticceria Boccione, removing the article "il", which in reality is non existent. I was actually shocked to find an english wikipedia article about a place I've been going to since I was a kid, but such is the way the world goes. Actually this is not a "Pasticceria", but a "Forno", since their products are quite rustic, but I suppose that the hags working there would not accept that change, and it's better to have them as friends than as enemies. I wrote the article because I was staying at a flat in the Jewish Ghetto and Pasticceria Boccione was right across the street. (I went there every day for a week and not once did any of the workers even nod a hello; it was so fantastically punk.) Deleted a little too much
I restored some of what you deleted here: OK, so he couldn't have signed either of those bands to Chrysalis because neither of them signed to Chrysalis. But that didn't require deleting everything in the infobox ... he still worked for Chrysalis, still co-owned the Dragonfly and his death still has possible connections to the Brown-Goldman killings. Marrying a deaf woman tends to limit one's exposure, although my wife enjoys the visuals and the deep bass lines. That relegated my opinions to the ash heap of history. Are you willing to nominate this article for deletion if you think that is the right course? The main editor has moved on to other problematic music bio edits. - I can't get myself to bring it to AfD; I did not spend long enough looking for citations. If they exist they are likely to be offline and I didn't check any of my offline databases. - In this article I would like to know which references you believed were not legit. Every one of those citations was legit, and the accusation that they were not, is false, and needs to be backed up with evidence. That personal opinion dismisses publications as not legit, when they are, is very unprofessional, and probably breaks libel laws. I would like you to be specific on this as I bring it to the process for undeletion, which was based on opinion rather than facts and a blatant disregard for an editors work. - Hello I wrote the article on Roxanne Fontana, and would like to know why the article of this very notable performer, who was produced by Jack Douglas is a 'gigantic trainwreck'. Please be specific. Also I notice that you stated in your discussion of this take down that you found 'some videos'. This artist who has been reviewed in top publications, has approximately 60 videos on channels that belong to her record company as well as fans posting them. She only played night clubs in the 1980s (which you state you are well-versed in), but did not make any records until 1999,with her first album produced by legendary drummer from the Rascals Dino Danelli. What specific problem did you have with the article that made you state, without research to the main editor that it should be removed. I look forward to your reply or apology. - Yes that discussion was viewed, of course, which led me to this discussion. Please answer the question as to why you thought the citations were not legit, and why you thought the article was "fake". It is apparent that the other editor you discussed this with, who brought you on board for your expertise, referred to the 1980s. However, you did not read the article properly (just for "entertainment" apparently and not academically) to see that THAT in itself was an error as the first public release of music is 1999. Nor did he correct you on that misinformation which began with him misreading the article, yet wanting to take a "machete" to it even if the person was notable. You stated that none of the citations were legit. SHINDIG MAGAZINE HAS A CURRENT READERSHIP OF 170,000, DIGITAL CIRCULATION OF 37,000; PRINT 26,000. As your expertise is the 1980s, and admittedly San Francsico Punk Rock, can you admit you made a mistake on this and contribute to a discussion with Liz offering to undelete it please. HeartMath Institute
Hello, I noticed you recently rejected my article for creation on the HeartMath Institute, citing concerns about neutrality. Writing a neutral article about pseudoscience is difficult, and there's often a tension between accurately portraying the scientific consensus and being fair to the alternative view. I attempted to model my article after the articles on parapsychology and energy medicine, which are the main areas of research the organization engages in. I think my article read quite similarly to these existing ones, but I can understand why that would seem biased as they are unambiguous in conveying the scientific consensus.
I removed a few of the sentences that I think may have made it seem slanted, and I would ask you to reconsider the article with those edits. If it's still problematic, I'd appreciate some more specific feedback on how it can be improved. An early version of this draft was marked for deletion because someone erroneously thought it was self-promotion, which is part of the reason I added the contextualizing statements I did. Greetings, JSFarman. You reached out & were super helpful a couple years ago when I added a page (something I rarely do) on Sheila Schwartz. I am drafting a new page on another unfortunately un-Wikipedia'ed writer, the late great Maria Thomas. It has some unfinished parts, and I have reached out to her son to look at it before publishing, but if you could take also a look and share any thoughts or make any improvements, I would appreciate that. - PS - two things I'd particularly appreciate for you to look at, one stylistic and one technical. My draft switches back and forth between her pen name and her two real life names depending on what it is describing. That seems weird but alternatives (eg, ", writing as maria Thomas,") didn't work well either. Second, infobox will include either her pen name or her married name, depending on whether it's type person or type writer, but she was both a person and a writer and having all three names (those plus birth name) in the box would be better if that's possible. - The naming issue is complicated! The way you've written it works, and I would stick with the writer info box. My only idea otherwise would be to include her birth name old-skool maiden name style (née Roberta Thomas) in the first sentence and then maybe just use either Worrick or her pen name? To me, ultimately, it's all about clarity. (I like that you included that she began using her husband's name after she was married.)

- Many thanks JSFarman for looking and for these helpful thoughts and encouraging words.
- Contacting you made me think about parallels between Sheila Schwartz and Maria Thomas - women writers who were wrongly not on Wikipedia, Stegner Fellows at Stanford, lots of fiction published in prestigious academic / literary reviews for virtually no money, died far too young. MT had more of a breakout moment, but still.
- She's an extraordinary writer, I think, and well worth reading. I'd start with the short stories (CTAASYM).
- The other thing that boggled my mind (and my draft page gets out of control in one place to demonstrate this point, but I was amazed so I kept going and going) is how many US newspapers reviewed serious fiction in the 1980s. There were dozens of different reviews of her books, it must have been over 100 US newspapers consistently publishing lots of reviews of serious books. The Anderson, S.C. paper reviewed one of her books! Now it feels like about five do that.

When I was googling for an (independent bookseller) link I had the same kind of wtf experience that you did; there are reviews *everywhere*. Major dailies, alt weeklies, monthlies, magazines (literary and otherwise). I'm blown away. At long last a reason to miss the 80s. (Also: how could she be completely new to me?) So tragic that she died so young.
- I just finished Crying in H Mart which pretty much killed me. Did you read it? Waiting on the new Lorrie Moore! (She is possibly my favorite writer.)(Definitely in the Top 10 with Dan Chaon.)

Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD.

November Articles for creation backlog drive

I try to submit this article: I submitted it wrong because of watching YouTube videos so the proofreader suggested to use my nickname, not the name like PeterFitzpatrick. So I used the guidelines that the Wiki proofreader send me (many thanks to them), and I also spoke in Wiki live chat that there might be a few reasons:
- Try not mentioning Linkedin and External links; 2. If I can't separate Peter Fitzpatrick from his business (it's hard using reliable media because most of the articles about the fashion app), try writing about the other person (better if it's historical people, 80th or earlier) - I participate on Wiki because of university practice . So, I'd also like to ask your advice as a reviewer before re-submitting with right external links. Thank you in advance.

- Hi ~Innosomnia - Reliable, independent sources are needed for him to meet the inclusion criteria. The references need to be about Peter Fitzpatrick, not his business. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Request to have syntax errors fixed after mass message delivery
